Second Photo-Therapy Day 2019 Royal Photographic Society – Bristol Symposium : 22 May, Wednesday 10.00 am – 07.00 pm Workshop : 23 May, Thursday 10.00 am – 07.00 pm On 22 May 2019 The Royal Photographic Society hosted the Second Photo-Therapy Day, which was organised with " GRIFO " Photo-Therapy Research Group (Italy). The First Photo-Therapy Day had taken place at The Royal Society in London on the same day, 22 May, the previous year, in 2018. The Second Photo-Therapy Day was celebrated at RPS new venue in Bristol with a Symposium on 22 May and a Workshop on Integrated Expressive Arts Therapies on the day after. The Symposium "From Hugh Welch Diamond to PhotographicActs" was closed with the "Diamond" Photo-Therapy Award 2019 ceremony. Valentino Giampaoli www.valentinogiampaoli.com Valentino Giampaoli was born in Loreto, Italy. He graduated in Sculpture at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Macerata. Valentino won the national competition for the monument to the Fallen of the Italian Resistance Movement in Naples. The monument was inaugurated in 2005. He received various private and public commissions for the execution of modeled figures, portraits and sculptures all over the world. Valentino is the author of the trophy for the "Diamond Photo-Therapy Award" and "Hospice Movement Prize". "My work is an aesthetic search where geometry and perspective take shape through a contrast of elements that create a dynamic form, where light gains the upper hand. I like to think of my art as a search, as an input, ultimately as a visual proposal.
